What motivated you to become a founder?

I always wanted to do something at the intersection of technology and business. Through my PhD I was able to develop something unique, and we decided to try and make a start-up out of it.

What tips would you want to give your younger self?

Don’t be afraid to go out with something that is not finished as there are still huge learning opportunities in speaking to potential customers.

What is the coolest thing about your job?

I love being in the driving seat and being able to move things forward and see the progress first-hand. This gives me a huge amount of energy.

What are the challenges of your job?

One of the biggest challenges is having to look ahead and trying to prevent mistakes or anticipate challenges that might occur during the next stage of your companies’ expansion.

What do you appreciate about CNB?

CNB has been an invaluable coach and sparring partner for years, always on hand and available to provide honest feedback whilst also working to open doors for us through their contact network.

How does your company make the world a better place?

Our technology facilitates the flow of information, and it makes me very proud when I open up a media app or website and see our platform powering this service or attend a large event which our infrastructure is delivering.

What book would you recommend for a founder?

Patrick Lencioni: The Advantage: Why Organizational Health Trumps Everything Else in Business – A very actionable book relating to team and organisational management.
